fuzztone music has been rockin’ since 2004.

Ken Kohlert, owner of Fuzztone Music, is a longstanding community member and a supporter of music and the arts. His involvement includes serving on the boards of the Yorkton Arts Council, The Godfrey Dean Art Gallery, Rediscover Downtown, Yorkton Business Improvement District, Chairman of Sunflower, and Co-Director of Culture for the 2000 Summer Games. He was also the Programmer and Equipment Tech for the Yorkton Short Film and Video Festival , and Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator of the Yorkton Arts Council for a number of years. Music has always been a first love starting  his first band in 1971 and he has been involved in numerous live bands ever since. His jobs have included managing Record stores in Yorkton and Winnipeg as well as changing from retail to wholesale and became a Record Rep for independent stores in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario where he represented all major record labels. Moving back to Yorkton he started teaching guitar in 1989 under the name “The Guitar Workshop” and frustrated with the quality and high prices of the stores in Yorkton, he opened Fuzztone Music in 2004. He has been spreading the love of music and is always willing to share his knowledge and experience with his students and customers. Fuzztone Music is your friendly neighbourhood music store, with box store prices and small town service. Visit or call, you will be taken care of and treated like family.
